Advantages of a Motion Activated Camera
Why install a motion activated camera?
In some circumstances continuous day in and day out monitoring of an area with a security camera is not necessary. For instance, some areas have very little activity however, when there is activity you want to know exactly what goes on. In these circumstances installing a motion sensor security camera is the perfect solution. A motion security camera will turn on automatically and instantly begin filming only when it detects activity. A motion detector camera is especially helpful in areas where motion is a definite sign of intrusion. Some examples of this are: places in a home or business that are off-limits to others, near your doors and windows at night, a remote cabin, or even outside your teenagers windows. A motion detector camera will turn on and film the intruder making it possible to identify them.
Advantages There are three major advantages to installing a motion detecting camera:
1. Less storage space to store video images. Keep in mind that if you need high quality and resolution videos it will require more space.
2. Less time when viewing your footage to find activity. Without it you will be spending a lot of time viewing hours of footage searching for any activity.
3. Conserves power. This is especially important if you are using batteries as a power source. In addition to having a motion activated camera, it is helpful to have a motion activated alert that will call you and allow you to listen in on what is happening if an intruder is detected. Motion activated alarms can be installed as well that let an intruder know that his presence has been detected. You can also have motion sensors that trigger lights that illuminate the area. A combination of these motion triggered responses allow you to intervene before your loved ones and valuable property are harmed.
